Happy New Year one and all
and I hope everyone had a fabulous festive season J
Turkey eaten, drinks drunk
and presents unwrapped, Christmas has gone for another year but 2014 has arrived with a bang! The
Flower Shop are up and running, taking down Christmas decorations, fresh flower deliveries, planting arrangements and a wedding this coming Saturday at The Grove
Hotel. But if you don’t mind I would like to share with you our last events of
2013 and quite a few there were too! So if you’re sitting comfortably…
So throughout the festive
season we catered Christmas table centres for The Grove Hotel. They required 38
hurricane lamp rings in total for The Grove Joiners parties and for Christmas day dinner.
Our design this year comprised of a lantern surrounded by a ring of wonderfully
fresh Christmassy foliage, decorated with red and gold baubles, glittered
apples, cones and oranges. Contorted willow otherwise known as Salix adds an extra dimension don’t
you think!?
On another occasion, a wonderful combination of white Roses and Kiefer arranged on silver bowls look stylish and effective. The
Grove had the same last year and loved them so we did a repeat performance this
year for a Christmas corporate function. A total of 18 were the order of the
day!
For The Grove’s New Year’s
Eve party we arranged 33 white Rose domes in black cubes which I think look super smart and rather effective against the black table cloths! :)
Alongside the Christmas
festivities we catered for a number of other occasions. The first being a
Golden wedding party in the Donneraile room at The Grove. The brief was to be
yellow, striking and bold. I certainly think we ticked these boxes!
In
the same room but on a different day, we catered for a birthday lunch. Three glass
cube arrangements sit wonderfully amongst a selection of pots hosting seasonal
flowers. The likes of Anemones, Roses, Freesia and Clematis are pretty and elegant
and compliment the cubes perfectly.

Are you still with me folks?!...Next up, we
had 2 lovely weddings to prepare for in the run up to Christmas. One being at The Grove comprising of pretty pink Hydrangeas and grass arranged in fishbowls. Simple, effective and blossom like!
Next up came a beautiful
wedding at St Michaels Manor in St Albans (http://www.stmichaelsmanor.com/), a
lovely location and even lovelier flowers! A collection of pots containing
seasonal flowers acted as a runner along the top table. Wonderful! Alongside
this, hurricane lamp table centres were required and truly beautiful they were too!
In pastel shades, tones of lilac, dusty pink and white, they are filled to the
brim with loveliness. A hint of spring with the inclusion of Hyacinths and
Ranuculus, together with Cymbidium Orchids, Roses and Dille make for a romantic
and lush arrangement.
Our bride’s bouquet was in keeping with her table centres but this time including mini Phalaenopsis Orchids! Stunning!
Last
but not least we had a pretty and pink private party at St James Restaurant,
Bushey one evening. Arranged in a glass cube, a combination of Sweet Avalanche
Roses, Spray Roses, Hydrangea’s, Eustoma and Cymbidium Orchids make for lush
arrangement fit for a fine feast!
