Love is in full bloom in Bushey
and I would love to share our most recent wedding with you. Our lovely bride
and groom got married in the Amber Suite in The Grove Hotel last Saturday. A beautiful wedding it was too, comprising of
seasonal blooms for the entrance, ceremony and reception rooms as well as the bridal flowers. A specific request to include Eucalyptus Populus was made as our bride particularly liked the seed/berry part to the foliage to create a flowy, loose and gardeny aspect to the arrangements. What is it
you may ask?!...Well it’s from the family of Eucalyptus which is a diverse
genus of flowering trees and shrubs, particular dominant and common as the tree
flora of Australia or in other words, the food of the Koala! :) This was very important in the inclusion of her bridal bouquet (a small shower bouquet), the 2 bridesmaid
posies and 80 table settings!
There were 9 beautifully elegant
white table centres comprising of white Hydrangea, Roses, Phlox and the special
ingredient, Eucalyptus Populus! Particularly fresh and smart looking in a mirrored cube I think! Similarly the bride requested 2
pedestal arrangements which created a wonderful backdrop for the ceremony.
A delightful combination of white seasonal flowers, the likes of Delphinium,
Roses, Hydrangea and Eustoma work really well in the urns.
The entrance table was a splash of colour and showcased fabulous seasonal flowers available to us. I think it truly gives a WOW factor as their guests enter the venue. A brilliant combination of containers present differing heights, textures and flowers, the likes of Hydrangeas, Delphiniums, Clematis, Roses, Senecio and Phalaenopsis Orchids! Brilliant!
Fabulous entrance, wouldn't you agree?!
On a separate occasion this week
we were back at The Grove and in the Amber Suite again but this time for a Bar
Mitzvah! For those that don’t know, a Bar Mitzvah is a Jewish coming of age
ritual for a boy of 13 years of age. Fabulously smart green Hydrangeas in black
cubes were created for this event which I think are striking, bold and effective. The
children had a long, narrow table of their own so we accompanied a few large cube arrangements
with single Hydrangea heads in black bowls interspersed between. Although the room isn't fully dressed in the pictures below, you still gain how smart these arrangements are!
What came next?! O yes! Our most
recent event was a wonderful birthday lunch in The Garden Room of The
Grove Hotel. For this we created 4 leaf bowl arrangements, ideal for guests to
take home afterwards. How lovely are these?! A splendid mix of lime green
Hydrangea, purple Delphinium, Eustoma, lilac Freesia, striking Dahlia’s, Roses
and Dill really tick all the boxes for a pretty and charming arrangement.
No two days are ever the same in The Flower Shop, with flowers and plants changing from season to season, trends, styles and themes constantly evolving and customer requests all individual to themselves, you expect to expect the unexpected! So with this in mind, you can't beat a trip to our Bushey and Watford shops to gain a true Flower Shop experience!
Hope to see you soon and until next time,
Holly :)
