I know, I know…I promised the
corporate event photos from the Bank Holiday weekend but there’s a slight halt
in proceeding’s as we are waiting for the professional photographs of the shoot
at The Grove! If you keep an eye out, you might see our flowers in their
brochure :) Big smiles!
So if you don’t mind I’ll fill
you in with what’s recently been going on at The Flower Shop although it’s
probably easier to say what’s not been going on! It’s been full steam ahead
with events and parties and we are trying to catch our breath from the busy
Jewish New Year period too! Over the 3 days of Rosh Hashanah, I believe we delivered over 300 gifts in the Hertfordshire, Middlesex and London areas!....this total isn't including shop customers and collected orders!!! WOW! No wonder we feel like we've been hit by a bus!!
Additional to this, we had a few events on the weekend prior to the Jewish New Year, starting with 3 pedestal arrangements required for a wedding at St Clement Danes Church, Strand, London, WC2R 1DR. Originally built by Sir Christopher Wren, it truly is a stunning setting (http://www.raf.mod.uk/stclementdanes/).
... to being in the Church on time!
Sunday was
brilliant! The main event of the day was for a 50th wedding anniversary lunch at Brocket Hall, Welwyn,
Hertfordshire ( http://www.brocket-hall.co.uk/). The
requirements were to decorate a long dining table so we thought combining both
low and high table arrangements would have the most impact! 5 high
arrangements, 24 low cube floral arrangements, 6 fish bowl table centres, 2
vase arrangements and lots of bud vases of Gloriosa were the order of the day!
Rich, vibrant and jam packed with
seasonal flowers were the ingredients to make for a fabulous event! The list is endless (almost!) of scrumptious flowers, the likes of Dahlias, Celosia, Alchemilla Mollis, Alliums, Gloriosa, Sweet Peas, Miss Piggy Roses, Oak Leaf and Calla Lilies....
The outside terrace...
Spectacular!!
That's not all, that evening The Flower Shop went back to The
Grove for a private birthday party in the Donneraile room. How pretty, elegant and
feminine are these table centres?! A combination of English Hydrangea, Sweet Avalanche Roses, Mint, Dahlias and Vanda Orchids make for a beautiful mix. A scattering of petals is the icing on the cake!
I'll give you time to catch your breath too so until next time,
Holly :)
P.S. Comments and 'Likes' on Facebook welcome!
