Hitting the ground running...

WOW!!... 9 events last week!  So grab a cuppa a read on :)

Alongside usual shop duties and orders, we hit the ground running with 10 lovely sunflower terracotta pot arrangements for The Grove Hotel, Hertfordshire (www.thegrove.co.uk) and a gorgeous summery vase arrangement for the Duke of Gloucester.

Wednesday saw a beautiful, smart, white and green wedding at The Grove which comprised of 2 pedestal arrangements, 5 low dish arrangements and 1 high arrangement specifically for the bride and groom's table. Wonderful summer flowers were included, the likes of peonies, lisianthus (eustoma), roses, cymbidium orchids and alchemilla mollis.

A new day brought 35, yes 35 allium table centres for a corporate function at The Grove Hotel. A combination of exotic leaves and alliums make for stunning and impressive high and low table arrangements. Take a look!

Friday required us to decorate a customer’s house for a private function. In the Jewish community an Aufruf is the ceremony held on the Shabbat before the wedding so we designed these wonderful white washed terracotta pots filled with summery, country looking flowers to decorate the tables. A divine mix of stocks, sweet peas, alchemilla mollis and fever few (Tanacetum parthenium) creates a wonderfully scented mix.

How about this “hedgerow?!”… MAGNIFICENT!

Not only this, we achieved 8 gorgeous table centres for another corporate event at The Grove Hotel.

                                                                 Summer in a bowl!!

It’s wedding season! Saturday saw a stunning summer pastels wedding! The bride required a beautiful bridal posie made up of mostly lilac roses accompanied with white freesia and a couple of white roses to boot, plus 21 button holes! Here are the wonderful table centres we created……A mixture of peonies, hydrangea, cymbidium orchids, sweet peas and peach avalanche roses.

The week didn't end there!... For Sunday we had a lovely birthday lunch at St James’ Restaurant in Bushey where we prepared 11 terracotta pot arrangements to which the customer requested yellow and white flowers. Yellow roses and white agapanthus were a must!!

...And breathe…what a week! Summer flowers are truly wonderful, a riot of colour, fragrances and interest, I hope you like the update.

Until next time,

Holly :)
