These are a Few of my Favourite Things...

Flowers, The Potting Shed and…. Ice Cream!

Let me explain…. A beautiful wedding took place last week in The Grove’s Potting Shed and it was a absolute pleasure to be a part of it. The Potting Shed is a wonderful Victorian Glasshouse set within The Grove’s Walled Garden, choc full of ‘antiques from Provence and England.’  All in all a perfect venue for a wedding!

Here’s a taster of the gorgeous flowers used for this wedding, in this instance, a scrumptious arrangement to decorate the ice cream bike!

Now into the venue and setting the atmosphere….Lanterns, t-lights and petals really help create a beautiful ambiance.

Setting up the runner of pots… but how many?

Flower arrangements in The Grove's Potting Shed

…Well let me tell you! The Flower Shop team designed and arranged approximately 45 table centres to create a long table runner, each one different to the other. Silver cubes and pots played host to a special selection of flowers, the likes of garden Roses, Hydrangeas, Peonies, Dahlias, Astilbe and Kaaps.

You can call a spade a spade but what about a Rose?!  How about Houdini, O’Hara, Vuvuzela, Piano, Lady Bombastic, Dolche Vita, Kieira or All for Love…these are just a few of the Roses we incorporated for our special bride.

Romantic, magical and spectacular!

Variety is the Spice of Life...

The variety of flowers available at the moment is truly gorgeous! Colours, textures and styles… the choice is almost overwhelming but with the collaboration from The Flower Shop team we can create your desired look.

Over the past couple of weekends we’ve had the pleasure of decorating one of The Grove’s most beautiful rooms for the weddings taking place there.  It’s interesting to see how floral arrangements can transform the look of a room to suit all tastes and preferences.

So first up came a truly scrumptious wedding. The colour palette for this wedding reminded me of sugared almonds and marshmallows… sweet, dreamy and simply delightful!

The ceremony room was just a taster of what was to come - a gorgeous selection of silver lanterns and pots containing beautiful posies.

Now into the Donneraile Room and the theme continues. An assortment of pots acted as a runner along the length of the dining table interspersed with candles and scattered in petals. Pride of place was a gorgeous hurricane lamp arrangement choca block with wonderful seasonal flowers. The likes of Avalanche Roses, Sweetpeas, Peonies and Hydrangea, it really was good enough to eat!

Totally gorgeous!

The following week our second wedding was equally as gorgeous and just as special to be a part of but different in colours and an alternative layout!  As the saying goes, variety is the spice of life! So for this the colour palette was palest pink shades and white.  For the reception we arranged 2 candelabra arrangements and 3 long and low table centres…stunning!

Hydrangeas, Roses and Phalaenopsis Orchids were perfect ingredients with trailing ivy adding an extra dimension and magic!...

...While Stocks, Astilbe and Eustoma were nice additions to the low table centres. Not forgetting a scattering of petals for that extra touch of romance and the room is set.

Talk about divine!... A wonderful combination of Avalanche Roses and Sweetpeas, perfect for the beautiful bride to be!

Right, no time to rest, big wedding coming up tomorrow! A very exciting time, it’s going to look fabulous, I cannot wait!

Over and out for now,
