A Wonderful Week of Weddings...

The wedding season is in full swing and The Flower Shop team in both Bushey and Watford stores are full steam ahead! Over the past week, The Flower Shop have had the pleasure of designing and creating fantastic floral displays for 3 weddings of which I would love to share with you.

Spanning Hertfordshire and a relatively new location for us, 2 weddings were set at Tewin Bury Farm Hotel and 1 at The Grove Hotel. Each wedding equally special to us yet totally unique to each bride! It's safe to say The Flower Shop is a very exciting place to be at the moment!

                                                                           ~~~~~~
Surrounded by luscious Hertfordshire countryside, Tewin Bury Farm Hotel is the perfect setting for a wedding. One of four function rooms on site, Tythe Barn is set  in a converted 17th century farmhouse - idyllic, spacious, and romantic!... Perfect! (http://www.tewinbury.co.uk/weddings-celebrations-in-hertfordshire).
For our first wedding, blue mason jars sourced from America created the theme for this wonderful wedding. So what better than a combination of blue and white seasonal flowers to fill the assortment of jars. The likes of Stock, Peonies, Delphiniums, Viburnum, Phlox and Hydrangeas…. Gorgeous!
For that additional touch of romance, we designed a beautiful heart to hang above the registry table and later above the cake. A fabulous selection of Hydrangea, Roses, Dille and Freesia were the perfect ingredients while Contorted Willow adds an extra dimension!
He loves me, he loves me not, he loves me… Forget-me-not! One of my favourite flowers! Forget-me-nots (Myosotis) was a must in the bridal bouquet and bridal posies!
A week later and we were back in Tewin Bury Farm, courtesy of The Flower Shop Watford. With the weather on our side, it really was a glorious day! The requirements here were seasonal flowers in muted colours, palest pinks and whites in particular.
A brides eye view down the aisle!... Super romantic and sophisticated!
A fabulous combination of seasonal foliages, Dahlias, Hydrangea, Peonies, Avalanche Roses and Succulents make for a perfect registry table arrangement! It’s completely gorgeous!
 Magnificent!
On the same weekend we had the pleasure of decorating a wedding in The Grove’s Donneraile Room. The key elements for this wedding were white seasonal flowers and lots and lots of crystals!  So for the registry table we gathered an assortment of silver pots and bottles choc full of seasonal white flowers to create a runner which were later used to decorate the base of the high arrangements.
For the reception 3 high arrangements were loose and romantic in design and draped in crystals. A wonderful combination of Hydrangeas, Peonies, Stock, Roses, and Dendrobium Orchids were used! Can you spot the Orchids in the vases too!?
As for the bridal posie…pure white elegance with a touch of sparkle! :)
It’s always a pleasure to receive feedback from our brides, check out our Facebook page for a wonderful thank you note J https://www.facebook.com/theflowershopbushey?fref=ts
From all at The Flower Shop, our very best wishes to the happy couples!
No rest this week, more of the same so until next time,
Behind the scenes we have been busy too!... Ever heard of the saying ‘sometimes less is more?’ Well that was certainly the case for one of our recent weddings. The key components were Hydrangea, Sweet Peas and Phalaenopsis Orchid  and together they looked magnificent! The ceremony took place in the Daniel Room at The Grove Hotel, whereby Hydrangea cubes decorated the registry table and bold Hydrangea balls lined the aisle.
The reception took place in the Donneraile Room where 3 super elegant high arrangements took centre stage. Trailing Phalaenopsis Orchids were a must! And with a scattering of petals and the placing of nightlights, the look was complete!
On another day we were back in the Donneraile Room for the occasion of a 70th birthday lunch. For this we created 6 peach, white and green seasonal arrangements including the likes of Hydrangea, Avalanche Roses, Freesia, Dill and Cymbidium Orchids. Super smart and wonderfully scented!
There’s a lot on the agenda in the coming weeks with weddings and corporate work so keep your eyes peeled folks for updates wonderful pictures! :)
Over and out for now,
Holly :)
