The Christmas Countdown...

7 days to go! Christmas preparation is in full swing at The Flower Shop and here’s a few festive treats currently in store. Take a look or better still pop in!

Our Christmas window this year is red, white and totally festive! White twigs decorate both in and outside the shop, large cones are hanging from a stunning pine covered candelabra, an impressive Ilex urn and robins are just the starting point of The Flower Shop's festivities!

We have a wonderful selection of festive planted arrangements available! The likes of double stemmed Phalaenopsis Orchids in our bespoke bark containers, Amaryllis bulbs, Poinsettia’s, Jasmine’s or Spring planted gardens… whatever takes your fancy, we hope to please! Not forgetting Christmas embellishments to boot!

Christmas cheer...it's nearly here!...

Feeling festive yet? It’s that time of year again when we first see the ‘Coco-Cola’ advert on our screens so I guess we’ve all got the hint that Christmas is fast approaching. Here at The Flower Shop we are getting ready for it! Window decorating, wreath making, garland constructing and table centre designing are all on the agenda currently! What’s your theme?...Rustic and natural, reds and gold, silver or a touch of sparkle!?

Take a look at some locations we have recently decorated, the first being The King Stag Pub in Bushey. This setting required a hanging pine garland (made by us from scratch!) embellished with natural cones, orange slices and bows! Similarly, they required a mantle arrangement but this time with the inclusion of Ilex berries and 2 wonderful door wreaths! Rather festive indeed! :)

How stunning are these vases of red Amaryllis, Ilex and Douglas for the lobby?... Very J

Here we constructed and decorated this wonderful staircase garland and embellished it with orange slices, cones, cinnamon sticks and bows! The smell's divine! 

Come in store and smell the plethora of Christmassy foliage we have to offer such as Pine, Douglas, Holly and Conifer. Alongside this, Mistletoe is now in, door wreaths are being made up of Christmas wonderfulness, the likes of cones, cinnamon bundles, oranges, dried hydrangea, red twigs and much more. Planted arrangements are ready to go and fresh festive bouquets and arrangements can be made to order.

Smiles all round...

This arrived in the post today!....A lovely thank you letter from the happy couple who wed at The Grove Hotel this September J From all at The Flower Shop we wish them all the health and happiness for the future!

Amazeballs!...

That’s right; the winner of the corporate sample has been decided, created, delivered and set up!...all 14 of them! Here they are in all their glory in the Amber Suite in The Grove Hotel! A sphere of Kermit Chrysanthemum acts as a bold backdrop for which these wonderful purple Vanda Orchids sit. Calla Lilies and grass loops add height and an extra dimension to the design. Rather impressive wouldn't you agree!

             

                                 

Alongside this, we’ve been kept busy with a few of other functions at The Grove Hotel over the past week or so. Amongst them was an event in the Amber Suite where 25 fresh flower cube arrangements were the order of the day with the specific requirement to include purple and orange flowers. So for this we arranged a fabulous mix of Roses, Trachelium, Cymbidium Orchids, Hypericum, Germini and Oak - a wonderful selection of ingredients to create seasonal table centres while ticking the boxes of the brief! A touch of lime green really brings out the colours!

Next up to the Donneraille Room for the occasion of a wonderful Ruby wedding dinner. For this we created 5 romantic table centres containing the likes of beautiful red Roses, Cymbidium Orchids and Asclepia. Lovely!

Brassica, Forget-me-nots, Veronica, and Craspedia and just a few of the flowers arranged to make these beautiful table centres for a gentleman’s birthday party this weekend at The Grove. 

  

How wonderful are these table centres for a private birthday party in Pinner?... Smart, fresh and cheerful, what more could you ask for!?  

Alongside corporate events and private parties, the shop is a hive of activity getting organised for Christmas. As it looms ever closer, wreaths, garlands, table centres, a plethora of foliage’s and sparkle are just a few things coming to the fore! Keep posted for our Christmassy blog J
